From The West
Bretheren:
I would like to begin by congratulating Bro. Robert "Wes" Appling on having graduated
from The Barry University school of Podiatric medicine. As proud as our fraternity is on his
success, we are saddened that this will lead to his departure from our lodge. Robert has taken
a position in Atlanta with the veterans hospital. While there, I am sure, he will proudly embody
our fraternities philosophy of faith, hope, and charity. We love you and we will miss
you brother.
The return of the talent surveys has been anemic at best. Brothers, we really would enjoy and
benefit from more members becoming involved at any level in our lodge activities. Take a
few minute to reflect on your part in the life of our lodge and make time to help out.
We have begun a new series of articles in the Trestleboard called "Meet the Mason" where
we will be profiling the life of one of our long term members. This effort is being spearheaded
by Brother Tim Camac. If you know of someone who should be profiled or wish to
submit an article please contact me at: rflsrwarden@gmail.com
Finally, nothing is more important to the life of our lodge than bringing Brothers through the
three degrees. Although we have a greater turnout than some lodges we really need to show
greater support for our new Brothers. We have two degrees this month, if you cannot attend
both, please commit to attending at least one degree.
Fraternally,
Donald W. Dunn
Senior Warden

From The South
Brothers:
This month I have the pleasure of welcoming Brother Steve Lora to his official
status of Junior Steward. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the
brothers who have pitched in with help in the kitchen, especially Brother Henry and
Brother Anthony for making sure the dinners on every third Thursday are well presented.
Thank you to all of the Brothers who have come forward and donated books to our
quickly expanding library. The shelves are filling up fast. If you have not seen it
lately, stop in and browse. Just to give everyone a heads up, at the end of June, we
will be dedicating the library to the memory of W. Jim Pergodich, a true and upright
man and Mason who will be sorely missed.
Fraternally,
Donald Poling
Junior Warden
